Frequently Asked Questions
What if I have an after hours dental problem?
A dentist is available after hours and weekends to advise you and/or see you if need be. Please call Dr. Jain on his cell phone.
Dr. Jain cell phone number: (519) 830-5246
Where can I park?
There is free parking just behind the office.
What do I need to bring to my first appointment?
Please bring your medical doctor’s information (name, address, phone number…), a list of any medications you may use and your insurance information.
How does payment for dental treatment work?
Payments are taken right after your appointment. Cash, debit, cheque and major credit cards are all accepted. There are payment installment options available for certain circumstances. If applicable, we would be happy to assist you in putting your insurance claim through, and the insurance cheque would then come straight to you.
I don’t know what my insurance covers me for?
Most insurance companies will not release your information to us due to confidentiality policies. However, if you call the insurance company and obtain a list of what you are covered for, we will be able to explain it to you.
How do you set up your fees?
Our office stays current with the Ontario Dental Association. Our fees are consistent with all other current dental offices, and come directly from the annual Ontario Dental Association fee guide. There are no additional charges for any procedure.
What if I cannot keep an appointment?
We ask for 48 hrs notice for cancellation of an appointment if possible, and 24 hrs at least. We are happy to reschedule an appointment for you. We are able to easily fill appointments with other patients and therefore require cancellation notification. For repeated missed appointments without proper notification, there may be a charge of $45. We attempt to be as reasonable as possible for extenuating circumstances.
How do I book my appointments?
Your initial appointment is booked with the receptionist. Your regularly scheduled scalings (cleanings) are pre-booked by the hygienist at the end of your appointment. We strongly suggest that you pre-book an appointment to ensure your preference of time and date. You will receive a reminder call before your appointment. If you do not pre-book, you will get a call from our office at the time that you are due to schedule an appointment.
