Professional Biography
David graduated from the University of Georgia law school in 1985. After
graduation, David moved to Dalton and started law practice with Robert A. Whitlow.
While associated with Mr. Whitlow, David did personal injury, bankruptcy, real estate,
probate and corporate law. As his law practice grew, David began to concentrate on
litigation (law suits). In 1995, Robert A. Whitlow moved to Charlotte, NC where he now
practices law and writes novels. That year, David and his wife, who was a probate
lawyer, started a firm. They practiced together until 2009 when she became a judge.
David's primary focus is on wrongful death and personal injury which arise from motor
vehicle collisions. David also handles estate and probate litigation in counties other
than Whitfield (David has a conflict in Whitfield). In the appropriate case, David will
handle products liability, civil rights, medical malpractice and commercial litigation.
