Seifert Drug opened its doors on May 1st, 1978 and for the past thirty two years, the town of Elkhart has seen its independent, locally-owned pharmacies fall one by one to the corporate big names-all except Seiferts. Yep! We're Elkhart's only remaining full service pharmacy that's locally owned and operated. Our most recent neighborhood pharmacist is Hass, who purchased Seifert Drug on March 1st, 2006, and since that time, he has maintained and strengthened the principles that have always made Seifert Drug a friendly, familiar and helpful pharmacy. Hass now brings this same dedication to Seifert Drug's newly opened second store in Wakarusa.
Seifert Drug has always maintained a "never say 'no'" attitude when it comes to accommodating our customers and over the years, we have put many policies and practices into place that have made filling out prescriptions a win-win situation for both pharmacist and patient, such as free prescription delivery to home or office, an after hours refill answering telephone line, billing procedures that favor our patients' economic and environmental needs, reliable out-of-town delivery service for traveling or relocated patients and even specific dispensing prescriptions for those in assisted living centers.
One of Seifert Drug's most important services to our community has been our year-round vaccination clinic. Located right here at the pharmacy, Seifert's vaccination clinic helps to safeguard families against far more than just the flu. Our pharmacist is fully licensed to administer protective vaccines against Pneumonia, H1N1, Shingles, Tetanus and many other conditions.
Keeping your family and the community healthy and happy, Seifert Drug always has and always will be Elkhart's only locally owned and operated full-service pharmacy.
