• Ask if you have orthodontic benefits on your policy
• Ask what is the lifetime maximum they will pay
• Ask how much they pay towards the initial payment
• Ask how much they will pay on the monthly payments
It is important to know these insurance facts when making a decision on your payment plan.
YOUR FIRST VISIT IS ALWAYS COMPLEMENTARY
• Even if we take a screening panoramic X-ray
• However, if the patient is ready for braces on their initial visit, we will take other diagnostic items like photographs, models, etc. which will be included in your initial payment.
Initial Payment
• Includes the cost of the diagnostic records and the placement of the braces
• Not due until the braces are put on the patient's teeth.
• If you have insurance coverage, we will fill out and submit your forms for you.
• For example, if your insurance pays 1/2 of your initial payment, then we will only ask you to pay your 1/2 of the initial payment on the braces placement date.
• We will wait for the insurance company's half of the payment that will come at a later date.
Payment in Full
• If you choose to pay the full fee of the entire orthodontic treatment up front, then you will receive a 7% discount on check or cash payments.
• You will receive a 5% discount if you pay upfront using a credit card.
• This discount comes off of your percentage of the payment, aside from your insurance company's payment portion.
