About Lloyd G. Van Geffen, DDS

Dr. Van Geffen is a graduate of Loyola University Dental School in 1968. He served in the U.S. Navy Dental Corp as a Lieutenant for 2 years right out of dental school including 1 year in Vietnam. He has taught diagnosis and treatment planning at LSU Dental School part-time for 13 years and has practiced dentistry full-time for 39 years.

Dr. Van Geffen’s philosophy is to treat patients as comfortably as possible for only what they need to maintain their good dental health! He is knowledable in all areas of dentistry and keeps up with the new advances and treatments in the dental field. He is a "dentist's dentist" and does not wish to cause any discomfort like his motto,

“TREATMENT AS RELAXING AS A DAYS FISHING!”
