Limited Resident Visitation

POLICY:
It is the policy of Hillcrest Spring to offer limited visitation according to The New York State Department of Health (DOH) guidelines to maintain the safety and well-being of our residents.

PROCEDURE:

  1. Visitation will take place on the outside patio, weather permitting. No more than 10% of the resident census shall have visitors at any one time. Only 2 visitors will be allowed per residents at any time. Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older.
  2. Visitation will be paused if Hillcrest Spring has an increase in the number of residents or staff with a confirmed positive COVID-19 diagnosis. If visitation is paused due to the above, residents will be notified in person and family members will be notified by phone.
  3. Visitation will take place Monday - Friday between the hours of 9am - 12 noon and 1pm-4pm. Visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance by contacting Hillcrest Spring receptionist - Debbie Gurney at 518-843-3770 Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm.
  4. When visiting you must enter from the back patio, you cannot enter the building through the front door. A staff member will meet you there to complete the screening process with you. If a visitor screens positive for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 or doesn't pass the screening questions, visitation will be denied.
  5. During visitation you must maintain social distancing (6 feet apart) and wear a mask through the entire visit. If you do not have appropriate face covering Hillcrest Spring will provide you with a mask. During visitation the facility must maintain social distancing so we ask that you not touch, hug, and kiss your loved one, no eating or drinking during the visit, also no pets allowed.
  6. Hillcrest Spring will provide hand sanitizer to use before and after your visit. Areas where visitors and residents meet will be appropriately disinfected between each visit using EPA approved disinfectant by staff.
  7. If Hillcrest Spring fails to comply with the above requirements the facility must halt visitations and inform DOH. The Department of Health can halt visitation at the facility at any time due to community or facility spread of infection or if the DOH identifies that the facility has failed to comply with requirements of the visitation guidelines.
  8. In summary DOH has issued the above guidelines to restart limited visitations. They also reserve the right to restrict visitation at any point. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in restriction or revocation of visitations.

     Hillcrest Spring is a residential community offering a home-like atmosphere. As a licensed Assisted Living Program, Hillcrest Spring is structured to offer various levels of care under one roof. Upon medical evaluation, skilled nursing services are available for those residents who are in need of a higher level of care.
     Privately owned and operated since 1972, Hillcrest Spring has recently been expanded and renovated. As a result of the new construction project, Hillcrest Spring offers private rooms, a resident recreational kitchen with attached screened-in porch, entertainment room with entrance to outdoor patio and newly remodeled dining rooms with restaurant style dining.
