• BELIEF

The Bible is the inerrant Word of God, written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit to write as God directed to provide instruction for living. (2 Timothy 3:16).
Salvation is by grace through faith not by works. It is a gift from God and cannot be purchased or earned (Ephesians 2:8-9).
God is manifested in the Trinity – God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit who indwells everyone who has received Jesus Christ as Savior.
Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. He was manifest in the flesh; died on the cross to pay the price for sin; was buried; rose from the dead; ascended back to the Father and is coming again.
Holiness is the way of life of the Christian. The pattern for Holy living is set forth in the Bible. Jesus is the Christian’s example and His commandments are to be obeyed.
Eternity awaits every person. True Christians will dwell forever in Heaven while unbelievers will spend eternity in hell.

• PURPOSE

The Calvary Baptist Church is organized for the purpose of affirming and making sure that the principles of our faith are expressed as stated in the original Baptist Church Covenant. It is to provide opportunities for regular public worship for all people and to sustain the Christian ordinances, doctrines and ethics as set forth in the New Testament of the King James Version of the Holy Bible.

• MISSION-Calvary Baptist Church has a five-fold mission:

1. To Evangelize the Lost. That men and women, boys and girls will come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and that the Kingdom of Heaven (the rule of God) will be established in their hearts and that their continuous concern will be to do the will of God.

2. To Grow in Grace and in Knowledge. That we will be a people who will have a hunger and thirst for the Word of God, that we will grow to be strong servants for the Savior and to teach others what we have learned.

3. To Build the Body of Christ. That we become effective witnesses for Jesus Christ in both words and deeds, and that our spiritual life of faith, prayer and devotion will be our daily practice.

4. To be Led by the Guidance of the Holy Spirit. That we will be a church open to the gifts of the Holy Spirit as He creatively develops and leads us into new areas of ministry; that we may all walk worthy of the Lord, being fruitful in every good work for the Kingdom.

5. To Provide Whatever Is Necessary for Ministry. That we will use our God-given gifts and talents for the up-building of God’s Kingdom. That we will cheerfully, graciously and abundantly give to the support of the church. That every resource needed: building, equipment, supplies and materials will be provided. That nothing will hinder the growth of the church, spread of the Gospel and the relief of the poor.
