A Little Bit About Us

Sunnyside Preschool and Childcare (SPCC) opened on April 1, 1996, and quickly grew into one of Pullmans largest and most respected Childcare Centers. We have an excellent reputation, due largely to our "word-of-mouth" advertising from parents who love our program and the benefits their children receive from it. Over the past thirteen years, we have made it our mission to provide quality, educational, and most importantly, FUN childcare, preschool, enrichment, and after school programs to hundreds of families in our community. We enroll children ages one month to twelve years, and accept DSHS funding. At SPCC, it is our goal to provide families the information they need to make the best decision possible when choosing a home or center for their child. We encourage parents to contact their local resource and referral office and the Department of Social and Health Services to ask questions about the center or home you are considering, and, most importantly, visit and ask lots of questions about employee qualifications, classroom ratios and programs, etc. Ask for references from families who are or have been enrolled in the program you're looking at. Your children should have the best possible child care situation. We hope to be able to provide that for you. Stop by any weekday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and take a tour of our facility.....we think you will find just what you're looking for!

Our Employees

At SPCC, we carefully select employees who are committed to giving exceptional care and quality education to our children. We are lucky to have Washington State University right here, and hire most of our employees from their programs. Two of our teachers have masters degrees, five have bachelors degrees, seven teachers and assistant teachers are attending college majoring in education, sociology of the family, or early childhood, two have recently completed their Child Development Associate Degrees, (another is half way through), and three assistant teachers are just graduating from high school and getting ready to attend college. That's a lot of education, experience, and expertise in one building!
