Doug Camburn Appliance Service is located in Sturgis and has been serving the surrounding communities for three generations. We service most brands of major household appliances, offering prompt and professional in-home service. We are authorized to provide warranty service for many brands including Whirlpool, Maytag, General Electric, Electrolux, Frigidaire, Sub-Zero, Wolf, Fisher & Paykal, Crosley, Jenn-air, Bosch, LG, Thermador and others.

Doug Camburn, owner and technician, with 23 years of experience and many hours of training, is committed to providing our customers with a positive service experience.

A Brief History

Camburn Appliance, Inc, now doing business as Doug Camburn Appliance Service, began in the mid 1940’s when Doug’s grandfather, Darrell Camburn opened a machine repair shop in Sturgis and began repairing many types of machines, including laundry equipment. In the early 1950’s, James Camburn, Doug’s father, came to Sturgis with his family and eventually joined his father in the machine repair business. In 1959, Darrell Camburn passed away and James Camburn Appliance Repair was created. It was not until 1986 that Doug Camburn decided to join his father in the appliance repair business. Upon James’ semi-retirement in 1990, Camburn Appliance, Inc was created. Doug Camburn and brother Melvin became partners and operated an appliance retail store and service business until early 2007, at which time new appliance sales became “Camburn’s” and in 2009 relocated to downtown Sturgis. Camburn Appliance, Inc began doing business as Doug Camburn Appliance Service in order to get back to our roots, offering quality in-home appliance service and repair.
