Microchipping
Microchippinghas become a very popular and safe identification tool to reunite lost pets with their owners. Microchippinginvolves the placement, with a hypodermic needle, of an electronic chip, about the size of a piece of rice, just under the skin between the shoulder blades. We usually perform this procedure on puppies and kittens when they are under general anaesthetic to be spayed or neutered. Adult pets may be microchippedduring an office visit. All shelters, humane societies and veterinary clinics should be equipped to scan any lost dog or cat that is brought to them.
Pet Supplies
Our reception area displays many items your pet will need for proper health care. If there is a product you would like that we do not have displayed, please feel free to ask our staff and we would be happy to look into it for you.
PET FOOD, SUPPLEMENTS & TREATS
Proper nutrition is one of the best preventive tools available, so we carry a variety of diets to support your pet throughout its lifetime. Some of our patient’s medical conditions require a special diet either in the short or long term. We also carry the necessary therapeutic diets that are designed to aid in the management of chronic diseases.
One of the most common problems seen among our well-loved pets is obesity. We have very effective weight loss diets and programs that we would be happy to discuss with you for your pet. Palatable low calorie treats can also be purchased at our clinic. Call us to schedule an appointment to discuss your pet’s nutritional needs.
