Hopkins I.D.A. Pharmacy started in 1949 by John Hopkins who had just finished serving overseas during World War 2. Beginning in 500 square feet next door to our current location it soon expanded to 1000 square feet. Jennifer Hopkins graduated in 1976 from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto and started working at the pharmacy. John & Jennifer soon became partners and worked together until John's death in June 1989. In January 1991 the pharmacy moved next door to it's current location and then expanded one more time in 2000 taking over the space where a floral shop had been. In 2009 we celebrated our 60th anniversity. We have many long time employees who believe in personal, friendly, small town service.
