Meet Our Doctors
Carrie Pumphrey, DDS is a Greensburg, Indiana native, receiving her B.S. in Nutrition Science from Purdue University in 1997. She went on to earn her dental degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2001. She began practicing that same year in Shelbyville, forming Blue River Dental. Dr. Pumphrey is a member of the Indianapolis Study Club, Indianapolis District Dental Society, Indiana Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Pumphrey enjoys her involvement in community activities. She is a Major Hospital Foundation board member and regularly volunteers her time for the Shelby Community Health Center, Girls Inc, SCUFFY, and the Blue River Community Foundation.
Dr. Pumphrey feels fortunate to be a part of the Shelby County community. She and the entire Blue River Dental team strive to make their office a place where families can receive the highest level of care and compassion. Blue River Dental patients deserve lifelong dental health, and Dr. Pumphrey is committed to that goal.
Betsy Crandall, DDS is a native of Greenwood, Indiana. She completed her undergraduate studies at Indiana University, receiving a BS in Biology in 2002. Dr. Crandall, also, received her Doctor of Dental Surgery at Indiana University in 2007.
Dr. Crandall began practicing dentistry in Shelbyville with Dr. Pumphrey in 2007. Dr. Crandall is a member of the Indianapolis Chapter of the Seattle Study Club, the Indianapolis District Dental Society, the Indiana Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. She also enjoys volunteering her time for Girl's Inc., SCUFFY and the Shelby Community Health Center.
Dr. Crandall enjoys building personal relationships and establishing trust with her patients. She believes it is important to communicate with patients in a caring and respectful manner, while educating patients on their dental needs and treatment options. Dr. Crandall's goal is to make every patient as comfortable as possible while they are receiving the dentistry they deserve at Blue River Dental Care.
