Who We Are
In 2000, Dave Kayfes was approached by Lapeer Medical Associates, who were moving their own practice back to Lapeer and wanted an independent pharmacy within their building. After a great deal of discussion with family and advice from other respected business owners, Dave decided to take the steps to opening his own pharmacy. In June of 2001, after much planning and hard work, Hometown Pharmacy of Lapeer was opened within the Lapeer Genesys Medical Building on Baldwin Road in Lapeer. The Pharmacists, Kim Ritsen and owner Dave Kayfes, both learned the importance of a patient-driven customer oriented community pharmacy. After college, Dave worked for several hospital pharmacies, and Dave and Kim each worked for some national chain drug stores, long enough to figure out there was a better way to be successful and be able to help the clientele, and yet remain true to their community pharmacy roots.
