Founded in 1987, it was the first staffing service of it’s kind in the area. Today, it remains the oldest and only locally owned and independently operated staffing company; Offering planned staffing, temporary-to-hire, and direct hire. With offices in Kinston and Goldsboro, McCain Employment Services is able to serve a large portion of Eastern North Carolina.
Pat McCain’s decision to establish a staffing service that would be unique was based on a few simple guiding principles.
• First, “a real service-minded staffing company” stands behinds their skills testing. We interview every week, and we have what has come to be called McCain’s Standards for all job skills. Skill standards and grades must be met for all light industrial and clerical applicants before any job offer is made. McCain’s Standard skills evaluation are exact and defined in our manual. Office personnel are trained in the presentation, grading, and applicant employment orientation for each client. Therefore, we prove what we promote - a skilled and able worker.
• Secondly, all applicants who contact McCain Employment by phone or who enter our office will be treated as ladies and gentlemen. We are ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen.
