Meet The Doctors
•Dr. Ian P. Ward; DMD, PC
Dr. Ward was born and raised in the North Country. After graduating from Lowville Academy in 1991, he attended St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY where he earned a BS in biology in 1995. He subsequently attended Boston University School of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) in 1999. Following graduation, Dr. Ward returned home to begin his career caring for the dental needs of families and friends around the greater Watertown area. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, Fifth District Dental association, and the Jefferson-Lewis County Dental Society (past president).
Dr. Ward lives in Sackets Harbor with his wife Darcie, and daughter Maeve. His hobbies include golfing, skiing, and spending time in the Adirondacks.
•Dr. Paul J. Michaelson; DDS, FACP
Dr. Michaelson attended Arizona State University followed by the University of Detroit School of Dentistry where he earned his DDS in 1974. After completing a general practice residency and a prosthodontics residency he settled in Watertown where he started his practice in 1977.
Dr. Michaelson has been certified by the American Board of Prosthodontics since 1985 and recertified in 2005. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Fifth District Dental Society (past president), Jefferson-Lewis County Dental society (past president), the American College of Prosthodontics (fellow), and the International College of Prosthodontics (fellow).
Dr. Michaelson lives in Watertown with his wife, Kathy. He has 3 grown children and his hobbies include bicycling and cross country skiing.
