Comprehensive Eye Examinations
Includes review of health and ocular history, measurement of prescription, evaluation
of eye health and evaluation of how two eyes work together.
We perform comprehensive eye examinations for people of all ages including children starting as young as 6 months.
Pediatric Vision Care
A first eye exam is recommended prior to age 1. Our doctors have advanced training in the
area of pediatric optometry and enjoy interacting with children of all ages.
In a pediatric examination the doctors will evaluate the health of the front and back part of the eyes, how the two eyes work together and measure any nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism. We participate in the InfantSEE program and therefore, offer a first evaluation prior to age 1 at no charge.
Contact Lens Services
We have a large selection of modern lens brands and lens types to ensure we can meet
your vision needs. Contacts can be appropriate for people with astigmatism or high
prescriptions and for people who need bifocals.
A contact lens fitting requires additional assessments by your doctor to ensure that the contact lenses fit your eyes appropriately and that they are cared for properly. Proper lens care and routine eye examinations can ensure contact lens wearers have many years of excellent, healthy and comfortable vision.
Management of Ocular Diseases
We provide treatment and management of many eye conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic
eye disease, macular degeneration, acute or chronic red eyes, and dry eyes. Some
conditions require close monitoring.
People with diabetes should have their eyes examined at least annually. We perform dilated exams to evaluate the retina and look for signs of diabetic eye disease. In addition, we can evaluate the eye for side effects caused by medications. If surgery or specialized care is needed we will refer you to the needed specialist.
Vision Therapy
Vision therapy consists of carefully programmed eye exercises designed to improve the
efficiency of how the eyes work together and gather information. It is often helpful
for people who have symptoms of discomfort when reading, working on the computer or
performing other near vision tasks. Vision therapy is also helpful to enhance the
visual skills of athletes or others who need especially high functioning visual systems.
Refractive Surgery Consultations
We can help you decide if you are a good candidate for refractive surgery and we are
available to work with the surgeon to provide care for you prior to and after the surgery.
