Meet Our Staff
The success of any dental practice depends on a competent, caring and friendly staff. In our offices we have the combined expertise of five dentists:
•Dr. Douglas Smith
Dr. Smith is a graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. He is a member of the Bay of Quinte Dental Society, the Ontario Dental Association, the Canadian Dental Association, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the International College of Dentists. He is a past president of the Ontario Dental Association, a past member of the board of Governors of the Canadian Dental Association, a past president of the Dentistry Canada Fund and several local community groups. For his years of service in the ODA, he has been awarded the prestigious BarnabusDay Award. He has also earned a service award from the CDA.
Dr. Smith lives in Belleville and when he is not in the office, Dr. Smith enjoys many outdoor activities with his family. Waterskiing, sailing, hiking and climbing are among his favourites.

•Dr. Russell Galloway
Dr. Galloway is a graduate of the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry. He is a member of the Bay of Quinte Dental Society, the Ontario Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association. Dr. Galloway is an accomplished vocalist who sings in a quartet, The Crusaders.
He lives in Stirling and enjoys boating and sailing and family time at his cottage in the north.

•Dr. Stephen Trus
Dr. Trus, born in Halifax, is a graduate of the University of Dalhousie, Faculty of Dentistry. He is a member of the Bay of Quinte Dental Society, the Ontario Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association. He spent eight years in the Canadian Navy before becoming a dentist.
Now retired from the military, Steve enjoys playing hockey, coaching his son’s team and spending time with his family on his hobby farm in the Frankford area.

•Dr. Theo Emons
Dr. Emons is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Dentistry. He is a member of the Bay of Quinte Dental Society, the Ontario Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association.
Dr. Emons lives in Belleville and enjoys playing squash and golf.
Our excellent team of dentists is complimented by five hygienists and several assistants and administrators.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly and caring staff, working together to achieve our goal of “caring for your family’s dental health”.
