GLARNER HAUS RETIREMENT APARTMENTS

 

The Glarner Haus Retirement Apartments offer meaningful retirement living for those who desire independence while still having access to 24 hour a day emergency response services. Residents are encouraged to share activities and companionship with the wider campus "family".

 

The two story 22 unit was built in 1982 and expanded in 1986 to include a spacious greenhouse and recreational and activity area. There are one and two bedroom apartments that offer a program of supportive services and activities to enhance independent living.

 

GLARNER LODGE - CBRF

Glarner Lodge offers a supportive living type of environment, yet encourages residents to maintain a sense of independence within a family atmosphere. The complex is attached to the nursing home, so that residents have access to 24 hour-a-day emergency response services and occupational and motivational therapy. They can receive assistance with daily or special tasks as needed, while regular housekeeping, laundry and basic maintenance services are provided.

The apartments include one, two bedroom and studio units with full baths and ample storage. They are ideal for couples or individuals not ready to enter a nursing home, but who will feel more comfortable with a campus "family", enjoying the friendship and companionship of fellow residents, and the option of participating in all campus activities, including chapel, entertainment and other special events.

 

GLARNER RETIREMENT VILLAGE

 

The Glarner Retirement Village offers independent retirement living in spacious duplexes where major maintenance is provided. The 26 duplexes, with 1152 sq. ft. of living space, plus a full garage, include stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, washers, dryers, garage door openers and air conditioning.

A monthly service fee paid by the occupants assures that major maintenance, including snow removal, lawn care and appliance repair are provided.

Residents are entitled to use a variety of the Home's services, and are encouraged to participate in campus activities. A unique contract assures residents the return of a significant portion of their original investment, when they vacate the unit.
